Start With the Record Holder
The facility and records office have different addresses. Middlesex Jail & House of Correction is at 269 Treble Cove Road, Billerica, MA 01862, and its telephone is 978-667-1711. The Middlesex Sheriff's Records Access Officer is in the Legal Division at 12 Gill Street, Suite 4700, Woburn, MA 01801, telephone 781-960-2830. The state facility listing gives administrative hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call first because hours and access procedures can change.
Choose the office based on the record and custody stage:
- For a booking record or photograph, use the county records guide and send a narrow request to the sheriff or arresting police department.
- For a Middlesex warrant or wanted notice, use Sheriff's Most Wanted and contact the Warrant Apprehension Unit at 617-682-4890.
- For a recent city arrest, check the Cambridge log, Lowell dashboard, or Newton log archive described on the relevant city page.
- For current county custody or release information, call the jail because no public Middlesex Sheriff roster was located.
- For a state prisoner, use the Massachusetts Department of Correction instructions and VINELink, not the county jail.
- For a federal prisoner or immigration detainee, use the separate BOP or ICE locator.
- For charges, hearings, and final disposition, search MassCourts and contact the clerk for an official copy.
